The AR Creation Studios (ACS) Visualization Lab is a black-box room offering approximately 180 degrees of immersive projection on a curved, fixed projection screen measuring 7 feet tall by 38 feet wide with the availability to duplicate projected images onto monitors external from the Lab. The Visualization Lab is a space to create and present immersive scholarship, communicate research, conduct active-learning workshops, and facilitate a variety of activities.
As part of the Experiential Learning department's AR Creation Studios, the audio recording studio is co-located near other ACS creative technology spaces within the "ARK" on Level 2. This thoughtful design emphasizes Mullins Library's commitment to supporting the collaborative, interdisciplinary teaching, learning, and research occurring on the University of Arkansas campus.
The ACS Visualization Lab is available for use by University of Arkansas faculty, students, and staff during ACS hours of operation.
Reservations are required and must be made at least 14 days in advance by filling out the ACS Visualization Lab Reservation Request Form. An ACS staff member will be in contact with the reserving patron within 2 business days.
No regular after-hours use or access is permitted. Special requests for after-hours reservation requests to support academic use and special events will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and scheduled based on staff availability and feasibility of proposed use.
Patrons are expected to follow ACS Visualization Lab policies in addition to the ACS General Use Policy. See the policies page for more information.
