3D Printing Policy

Please remember to review our 3D Printing Policy before submitting your 3D print requests.

All patrons must complete our ACS User Agreement Form and ACS General Makerspace Safety online training module to use our 3D printing services.

What is 3D Printing

3D printing is the process of building a three-dimensional object from a digital file. This is done by an extruder laying down molten plastic filament in successive thin layers until the entire 3D object is complete.

Bambu Lab P1S

Bambu Lab X1 Carbon

Filament Type and Colors

We use PLA (polylactic acid) filament for all print jobs. Only filament provided by the Makerspace is allowed.

Prints can have up to 4 colors. Please note that your file should be an 3mf file with the colors already "painted" onto the object at time of submission.
