The AR Creation Studios (ACS) Podcast Studios are comprised of three podcast studio rooms for patrons to record podcasts projects with user-friendly professional podcasting equipment. As with all ACS spaces, the podcasting spaces have been designed with the intention of serving creators of all skill levels. No prior knowledge or specific background is required to use the recording studios, just a sense of curiosity and a desire to learn and create!
As a hands-on learning educational space, patrons will be responsible for producing and managing their own recordings. ACS staff can certainly help with staging equipment and getting patrons going in the studios, but staff will not facilitate or run patron recording sessions. For patrons who may not know how to do something, ACS staff are happy to show them how or learn alongside them to help projects become reality!
As part of the Experiential Learning department's AR Creation Studios, the Podcast Studios are co-located near other ACS creative technology spaces within the "ARK" on Level 2. This thoughtful design emphasizes Mullins Library's commitment to supporting the collaborative, interdisciplinary teaching, learning, and research occurring on the University of Arkansas campus.
The Podcast Studios are available to current University of Arkansas faculty, students, and staff for use.
Reservations are first-come, first-served and are required in advance. Patrons are allowed to reserve the studio for up to 2 hours per day.
The studios are only available for use during ACS open hours.
No after-hours use or access is permitted.
Patrons are expected to follow ACS podcast studios policies in addition to the ACS General Use Policy. See the policies page for more information.
